This is me:

I’m a lot of things to a lot of people! Here I write mostly about teaching and the classroom. I’m currently a 2nd grade teacher in Mattoon, Illinois where I live with my wife, our kids, and our dog.

Professional Bio:
I’ve been teaching elementary school since 2018. I’m a member of my local chapter of the Illinois reading council and past local president, working to encourage educators and promote access to books. I regularly work with the BookLove foundation as a discussion leader and author interviewer to promote literacy in classrooms around the country. I served as a Scholastic Teacher Fellow in 2024 and contribute to the Scholastic book The Go-To Guide for Classroom Management.
