My classroom is

My classroom is an ecosystem. An ecosystem is all about interaction and each and every school day the students interact with one another and the space we have made. It is a community of 7-year-old learners.

Learning is our sun.
Knowing more, pushing on.
thirsty. For knowledge, for understanding;

hungry. For feeling understood, for caring;

our classroom is an ecosystem;
balanced. Built for independence. 

Pencils out. Paper ready. Books labeled.
7-year-old librarians, helpers, teachers
passing out what’s needed. Collecting what is done
collaborating. speaking. listening. 
writing. writinG. writiNG. writING. wriTING. wrITING. wRITING. WRITING.

Yes, learning is our sun

And spoken feedback waters souls
And care is given, care received. Balanced. 

Our classroom is an ecosystem. 
Built for a time. Busy for a season.

Then fallow.
